Tottenham reveals squad numbers for Ivan Perisic, Djed Spence and Lenglet

Tottenham have confirmed the shirt numbers new signings Ivan Perisic, Djed Spence and Clement Lenglet will initially wear ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

Most recent acquisition Spence, who joined Spurs from Middlesbrough, has been allocated the No. 24 shirt, while loanee Lenglet has taken up the No. 34.

Handed a temporary number for pre-season, Perisic has since picked up the No. 14 shirt which was previously held by Joe Rodon, with the Wales defender opting to switch to No. 22.

The players could have the chance to don their new numbers in the pre-season friendly against Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday.

Meanwhile, midfield signing Yves Bissouma has retained the No. 38 for the pre-season period, although Spurs have noted a finalised list will be submitted before the opening weekend of the season.

The updates follow Tottenham’s confirmation last week of a host of new squad numbers including the additions of Richarlison (9) and Fraser Forster (20).

Cristian Romero elected to take up his favoured No. 17 shirt which freed up the No. 4 for Oliver Skipp, while returning loanee Pape Matar Sarr will hold the No. 29.

Spurs Web Opinion

The Tottenham squad is starting to take shape very nicely and things are looking a lot more complete with the new members being allocated their numbers.

The 14 has been a favourite of Perisic throughout his career but Bissouma’s at the moment is interesting as he could be waiting for an occupied number to become free.
