Tottenham have issued their congratulations to Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford for his recent heroics in campaigning to continue free school meals for kids in need.
Spurs took to Twitter to show their admiration and gratitude for the hard work in campaigning from the 22-year-old.
Rashford had been campaigning for free school meal vouchers to continue over the summer holidays for children in need – the initial appeal was denied.
However, after continual hard work from Rashford, the government announced yesterday (Tuesday) that they had made a U-turn on their initial decision (BBC).
The tweet from Spurs read: “Amazing work, @MarcusRashford This will make a huge difference to so many young people across our communities.”

Rashford is likely to make his return to football against Spurs on Friday following a lengthy period on the sidelines following a back injury which he picked up in January.

What a truly inspirational young man Marcus Rashford has proved himself to be. Footballers often get a bad wrap but in this case you have to take your hat off to the youngster who has fought for what he believes in and has shown what footballers can do with their powerful online presence.
