Tottenham fans would have been delighted to see Arsenal beaten at home for the third consecutive time on Sunday, with Wolves overcoming Mikel Arteta’s side 2-1.

However, the result was overshadowed by a scary moment in the first half which has left all football fans, irrespective of their allegiances, extremely concerned.

Wolves striker Raul Jimenez was involved in a sickening clash of heads with Arsenal defender David Luiz in the 15th minute of the game.

While Luiz suffered a cut as a result of the collision, Jimenez came off much worse and had to be rushed to a hospital.

The incident was so stomach-turning that Sky Sports refused to show a replay of the collision.

Wolves have since confirmed that the Mexican underwent an operation after suffering a fractured skull and that he is now comfortable.

Tottenham have taken to social media to tweet out their support for the Wolves striker and to wish him a speedy recovery.
