Tottenham have issued a stark warning about what they would have to do if the club were to get relegated from the Premier League.
Relegation would have devastating financial implications for Tottenham, who would see a significant drop in matchday, commercial and broadcast revenue.
A mass exodus from Spurs could be on the cards if the club go down, with many European giants circling over the club’s best players.
The club have now warned that some drastic steps may have to be taken if the worst comes to pass and if they find themselves out of the Premier League for the first time.

Tottenham admit they could be forced to sell assets if they get relegated
Financial experts have predicted that Spurs will have to offload many of their high earners if they get relegated, as they cannot sustain a big wage bill in the Championship.
This is even though most players in the Tottenham squad have a relegation salary deduction clause, which will come into effect if the Lilywhites go down.
However, The Sun have now revealed that Spurs themselves have warned in their accounts that relegation could involve player sales and taking on more debt.
The club said that in the event of relegation, “actions could include the sale of assets and additional financing arrangements.”
Spurs will not sanction a full-scale squad clear-out
This report follows a recent update by TEAMtalk, which claimed that even if Tottenham finish in the bottom three, they will not undertake a full-scale clear-out this summer.
The outlet claimed that Spurs have decided that some players are ‘untouchable’ even if they get relegated.
However, De Zerbi and everyone at Tottenham will be desperate to avoid that outcome as relegation would necessitate a massive recalibration from everyone at the club.
