Tottenham sent scouts to England match to watch this player

Tottenham Hotspur have not signed a single player in over a year now, with their last acquisition coming in the form of Lucas Moura way back in January 2018.

With the stadium now built and ready to open, it appears that Daniel Levy may once again turn his attentions to transfer negotiations.

Spurs have always been a club to invest in young up and coming stars, rather than paying top prices for established experience, and this next rumour fits the usual pattern.

According to The Mirror, Spurs sent scouts to the recent England U20s match against Portugal to watch Benfica youngster Jota.

The 19-year-old is thought to be one of the rising stars in Europe, and has a release clause of just 30 million Euros.

The club are naturally in a hurry to get him to agree a new deal with a far higher release clause, but the 2018 U19 European Championship winner may be on his way this summer.
