A new report in Gazzetta dello Sport has now revealed that Guglielmo Vicario remains at the top of Inter Milan’s wishlist.
The report dismisses the ongoing speculation linking Aston Villa star Emiliano Martinez with a switch to the Nerazzurri.
They say that Inter have not had any talks with Villa over the Argentine as the Serie A club do not believe the goalkeeper has the characteristics they are looking for.
Vicario is the only goalkeeper Inter are interested in, and they view the Tottenham number one as the ‘ideal’ replacement for Yann Sommer.

Gazzetta say that Vicario came very close to joining Inter back in 2023 before Tottenham swooped for the former Empoli man.
The outlet asserts that the 29-year-old would be happy to return to Italy at the end of the season if Inter come knocking on his door.
This follows previous reports from Italy, which have claimed that Vicario has already held talks with Inter over a potential transfer.
