A new report has revealed who Tottenham’s second and third-choice managerial targets are behind Andoni Iraola and explains how complicated it would be for Daniel Levy to bring them through the door this summer.
If you have followed Spurs Web’s coverage, you would know that a number of publications have claimed over recent weeks that Andoni Iraola is Tottenham’s clear number-one target to replace Ange Postecoglou in the summer.
However, Spurs are expected to face several hurdles in bringing Iraola through the door, including Bournemouth’s intention to tie him down to a new contract and the interest of other top clubs around Europe.
A new report has now revealed what Tottenham Hotspur will do if they are not able to get the Cherries head coach through the door.

Tottenham’s second and third-choice managerial targets revealed
The Athletic have now reported that while Iraola remains at the top of Tottenham’s wishlist, Fulham’s Marco Silva and Brentford’s Thomas Frank are under consideration to replace Ange Postecoglou.
It is revealed that Silva will be the likely second choice for Spurs, who allegedly considered the Portuguese coach during their manager search back in 2023, only to eventually go for Postecoglou.
It is pointed out that the 47-year-old has one year left on his deal at Craven Cottage and has a release clause of over £10m.
As things stand, the West London club are thought to be confident that Silva will still be at the club at the start of next season.
Johan Lange is an admirer of Thomas Frank
The Athletic add that Thomas Frank also has fans at Tottenham, with many at the club being impressed by how the Dane has consistently made Brentford punch above their weight.
Interestingly, it is revealed that Aston Villa held talks with Frank over becoming their head coach back in 2022, and it was Johan Lange who was the Midlands club’s technical director at the time.
Lange is thus evidently a fan of his compatriot, and it will be interesting to see if he pushes the 51-year-old’s case to the Tottenham hierarchy.
