Tottenham stance emerges on Igor Tudor future amid Spurs’ alarming Premier League run

Tottenham Hotspur’s stance on Igor Tudor’s future has been revealed after the club suffered yet another Premier League defeat.

Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping their decision to appoint Igor Tudor to see out the rest of the season leads to an upturn in results and helps them avoid relegation.

However, thus far, that has been far from the case, with the former Juventus man losing all three of his games as Tottenham manager.

This poor run of form has now seen Spurs’ once seven-point gap between themselves and West Ham United significantly cut to just one point.

Igor Tudor’s future has been called into question

With results still not improving, there have been whispers about whether Igor Tudor will see out his interim role, which runs until the summer.

Jamie O’Hara had already hinted that Tudor could face even greater scrutiny should he lose to Crystal Palace on Thursday, a game the Croatian lost 3-1.

BBC Sport have now provided an update on the future of the interim manager and it is understood that Tottenham have no immediate plans to change managers for a second time this campaign.

Spurs’ awful results leave relegation fears growing

It remains to be seen whether Spurs will stick to this stance if results continue to falter for the rest of the season.

There are currently just nine games left to play in the Premier League, and the feeling is that Tottenham need at least three wins to guarantee a place in the English top flight next campaign.

But their form inspires little confidence, as they are the worst team in the league since the turn of the year, having not won a single game in their last 11 outings.

If that run continues and Tudor finds himself in the relegation zone, it could yet spark another managerial change.
