Tottenham star called up to national squad

According to GolazoArgentino Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga has been called up late to the Argentina squad for internationals this month.

The Spurs shot stopper has never been called up to the national side before, and there were actually no injuries that prompted his call.

Gazzaniga has only had six appearances for Spurs in all competitions, which shows what an impact he has made so quickly in his Tottenham career.

Paulo made his Champions League debut in the game against PSV on Tuesday, and will be hoping to get some minutes for the national side soon too.

Argentina play Mexico twice this month, and given Argentina’s lack of options between the sticks, there is a real chance for Paulo to stake his claim.

Spurs stars Erik Lamela and Juan Foyth have already been called up to the same Argentina squad.

The 26-year-old goal keeper started his career in Valencia, before being released and spending stints at Gillingham, Southampton and Rayo Vallecano.
