Tottenham star comments on Pochettino’s management

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has always been famed for being a good man manager.

You can often see him out on the pitch at full time giving his players, and often the opposition team, big hugs and smiles after a tough match.

One man who is thriving under Poch at the moment is Erik Lamela, who is finally fulfilling his potential in a Tottenham shirt.

Lamela has struggled with injuries since his arrival in North London, with one hip problem in particular keeping him out for over a year.

As a result, he can no longer train at 100% or play too many games in quick succession, but that hasn’t stopped him banging in the goals.

The Argentine winger has scored eight goals in just 13 appearances for Spurs so far this season, and is a big reason for Tottenham’s top four standing.

However, Lamela insists that Pochettino doesn’t have to give him one on one encouragement to get these performances from him.

Lamela told the Evening Standard: “I think he always talks generally, he doesn’t say nothing to me he gives me the opportunity to play.

“I am happy to be playing for this club and today we won and are close to the top and it is good to go to national team with this feeling.”
