Tottenham star compares Mauricio Pochettino to this international manager

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to reach their first Champions League semi final in history when they take on Manchester City over two legs in April.

Spurs have only reached the quarters one time before, coming in 2011 under Harry Redknapp.

The Lilywhites may be able to take inspiration from the England football team as they look ahead to their second semi final in the space of a year.

Not only did England reach the semis at the World Cup in Russia 2018, but they then finished the year by qualifying out of their Nations League group.

They will now play in the Nations League semi finals later this year, as they look to scoop their first piece of silverware as a team.

Danny Rose believes that similarities can also be drawn between his club and national managers Pochettino and Southgate.

He revealed that each of the two gaffers have believed in him and given him vital opportunities.

Rose said (SkySports): “They are both very similar and I’ve enjoyed working under both of them.

“They’ve both given me so much and whenever I’ve played for them I just try to give my best whenever I’m called upon.”
