Tottenham star considering January exit

Tottenham chose not to buy anyone in the summer transfer window, with Poch preferring a settled squad rather than signings for the sake of signings.

However, the Spurs boss won’t want to lose any of his squad come January if Tottenham have any hope of pushing for a trophy this season.

The Evening Standard are reporting that young Juan Foyth is prepared to consider his options come the winter transfer window, as first team chances seem rather slim.

Spurs are currently without first team centre back Jan Vertonghen, and young Cameron Carter-Vickers is out on loan, so Foyth actually represents the only substitute centre half on the Tottenham bench.

It is unlikely Poch will let the 20-year-old leave on loan or a permanent transfer until they have a replacement in, United’s Eric Bailly for instance.

Foyth was just called up to the senior Argentina squad for the first time, and the highly-rated defender is definitely worth investing time on.

Perhaps Pochettino should hand him some greater responsibility in the cup competitions to keep the player happy.
