Tottenham star gets Man of the Match rating after 3-1 international win

Tottenham Hotspur left-wing-back, Ivan Perisic scooped the WhoScored Man of the match rating for his performance for Croatian last night.

Although he has lined up as a wing-back for Spurs this season under Conte, as he also did for Inter Milan, Perisic was named in the front three to face Austria this week.

And the Tottenham man certainly didn’t disappoint in terms of his attacking returns, assisting Marko Livaja to put Croatia 2-1 up with a superb dinked cross.

Perisic also hit the bar himself with one effort and was a consistent threat down the Croatia left for the full 90 minutes, something he has showcased plenty of times in Lilywhite this season.

The Spurs man also only gave the ball away one time in the entire match, as well as making three tackles for his country (WhoScored).

As such, WhoScored gave him an 8.5/10 rating, almost a whole point higher than Luka Modric in second (7.6).

Spurs Web Opinion:

Tottenham fans will be hoping to see Perisic’s form continue in the North London Derby against Arsenal at the weekend, as his crosses down the left and set-pieces have been a potent avenue of attack for Conte’s men. What a free transfer he has been!
