Richarlison has joked that he will buy an island and copy a famous Ronaldinho photo when he retires from football.
The Spurs striker is expected to lead the line for Brazil at the World Cup, with the forward making the number nine shirt for the Selecao his own over the past 12 months.
It would be a childhood dream come true for the Spurs star, who opened up last week on the tough upbringing he had and the sacrifices he and his family had to make in order to reach the top (discovery+ via by Football.London).
The 25-year-old will be hoping to write his name into the history books in Qatar by helping Brazil become world champions after two decades of waiting.
Tite’s men kick off their campaign with a tricky clash against Serbia on November 25 in Lusail, and ahead of the match, Richarlison has been speaking to the Brazilian media about his post-career plans.
When asked what he will do when he eventually hangs up his boots, the Spurs star joked (via Brasil Football): “I’m going to buy an island and stay there with a bunch of women, just like that picture of Ronaldinho.”

This is just a harmless joke at Ronaldinho’s expense but unsurprisingly, some people on social media, who are perpetually outraged, have taken offence. In reality, Richarlison was clearly kidding and we know that he is an extremely grounded individual, who does a lot of good work off the pitch.
