Tottenham star gives his verdict on new signings Lo Celso and Ndombele

Tottenham Hotspur have a number of new faces around the squad this season, both from summer and winter window signings.

Back in 2019, Spurs signed the likes of Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, and Ryan Sessegnon in the summer transfer window under Mauricio Pochettino.

Then, in the January window under Jose Mourinho, Spurs added Gedson Fernandes on an 18-month loan from Benfica and Steven Bergwijn on a permanent deal from PSV.

Harry Winks, who was often a favourite of Pochettino in North London, found his place under pressure at the start of the campaign, as central midfield competition heated up.

However, the academy graduate has managed to put his mark on the Mourinho squad and retain his place for now, with the likes of Ndombele and Lo Celso often slotting in too.

After playing with them for over half a season, Winks has now given his verdict on the French and Argentine duo.

He said (Football London): “They’re both technically top players and they’ve shown it from the minute they first came in.

“They both understand what it’s like to play for Tottenham and they work really hard.

“They’re both players who can slot in and do a fantastic job because they’re two excellent players. There’s a lot of competition in midfield this season especially because there’s so much quality, but they’re both really good players and have been excellent since they joined.”
