Tottenham Hotspur have done remarkably well to keep their biggest names at the club in recent years, despite moving away from White Hart Lane, and offering far lower wages than their rivals.
The likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Heung Min-Son, and co still remain loyal to the club and look to be committing their futures.
However, it could finally be the end of the road for both Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen this summer, as both stars enter the final year of their respective contracts.
Alderweireld in particular will be tricky to keep, as Spurs activated a clause in his contract that allows him to leave for just £25m when they extended his deal by a year this season.
ESPN pundit and former Liverpool player Steve Nicol now believes that the Belgian defender is definitely leaving North London, labelling Real Madrid as the most likely destination for Toby, especially if Varane leaves.
Nicol said (Daily Star): “100 per cent [Alderweireld’s] leaving. But the question is where’s he gonna go?
“And I think if we look across the board at Varane leaving Real Madrid, I would not be shocked to see Alderweireld at Real Madrid.”
