Tottenham star is named among seven PL Player of the Year contenders

Harry Kane has been named among the seven candidates to win the Premier League Player of the Season award for 2022/23 (SkySports).

Although it has been a tumultuous season for Spurs, to say the least, Harry Kane has been the one player to maintain his ridiculously high standards throughout the campaign.

In most other seasons, the English media would be making a big deal about Kane’s impressive return of 27 goals in 36 games this season, and he would likely be in a Golden Boot race.

However, Haaland’s superhuman 36 goals in 33 games has surpassed anything we thought possible in the Premier League, which surely makes him a shoo-in for the award (BBC).

Kane has been named alongside Man City duo, Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka, Man United’s Marcus Rashford, and former Spurs teammate, Kieran Trippier.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Erling Haaland will walk every single award this season and Kane may find it hard to even break into the Team of the Year because the Man City man shares his position.

However, if this is to be Harry’s last season at Spurs, then it seems fitting he will scoop every Tottenham award going.
