Tottenham star linked with £50m exit after decade-long stay

After 10 seasons at the club, Tottenham left-back Danny Rose is being linked with a huge £50m move to Paris Saint-Germain, with Schalke also interested.

According to reports by The Mirror, PSG and Schalke are keen on the powerful defender.

Rose was not included in the squad for Saturday’s trip to Newcastle, sparking rumours as to his Spurs future. With Ben Davies cementing the first team spot, and the likes of Kyle Walker-Peters and Jan Vertonghen providing left-back cover, it is possible that Rose is no longer in Pochettino’s plans.

As the transfer window has shut for English clubs in a purchasing sense, Spurs would be unable to buy a replacement even if desired.

It is rumoured that Rose is frustrated with a current lack of playing time.

Rose arrived in North London way back in 2007, with a £1m move from Leeds. After a decade at the club, Rose has clocked up 118 appearances, scoring eight goals, including a famous strike against Arsenal.

The 28-year-old full back also made strides into the England team during his Tottenham stay, winning 23 caps for his country.

Would £50m be a good deal for Spurs? Do they have enough cover at left-back?
