Tottenham star makes a bold claim

Tottenham Hotspur are enjoying their best ever start to a Premier League campaign this season, taking 24 points from their first 11 games.

One player who has been particularly impressive is newest recruit Lucas Moura.

Moura was signed last January from PSG for a bargain price of £23m, but was only used for a total of 79 minutes in his first season at Spurs.

Pochettino wanted to take the time to bed the player into a new country, culture, and style of football, and boy did it pay off.

Moura hit the ground running this year, starting off with a fabulous curled effort against Fulham and a brace away to Man United.

The Brazilian hasn’t looked back since then as he has been one of Spurs’ most consistent and impressive performers this year.

However, the winger has now made a bold claim about his Tottenham career, insisting that the best is yet to come.

He told The Mirror: “We have to keep believing. It’s not impossible, we just need to believe we can do it and not give up.

“I will certainly do everything I can. I feel like I’m playing well this season but I still don’t think the Tottenham fans have seen the best of me yet. I am very demanding of myself and I always want to improve.

“I think there is still a way to go before you see the best Lucas Moura possible. But I’m working for it.”
