Spurs fans will be delighted to hear that Heung-Min Son is one step closer to military exemption as South Korea eased past Vietnam 3-1 in the Asia Games semi final.
Sonny’s side will no play either Japan or United Arab Emirates in the final on Saturday.
Two goals from Lee Seung-Woo, and a third from Hwang Ui-Jo put the Koreans in full control of the tie, with their first strike coming in just the seventh minute.
Son was taken off with 20 minutes to go, to rest the star man for Saturday’s final.
If Son and his team mates win the gold medal, they will all receive military exemption, for which South Koreans usually have to serve 2 years before their 28th birthday.
