Tottenham star makes ‘crazy’ admission

Tottenham Hotspur had been enjoying one of their best seasons in the club’s recent history up until a few weeks ago.

Fans excused the exits from both cups in the space of a matter of days, as Spurs were in the hunt for the Premier League title.

In fact, Tottenham had the chance to close the gap to League leaders Liverpool down to just two points a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately, Spurs lost that game, sending themselves on a dramatic downward spiral ever since.

Tottenham lost to Burnley and Chelsea, before scraping a point at home to Arsenal, then losing again away to Southampton.

11 points dropped out of a possible 12 and a Premier League season in tatters, as the club now fight to cling onto a top four spot.

If not for the Champions League success against Dortmund, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club would be a very bleak place at the moment.

Danny Rose had this to say (SkySports): “It’s just crazy. Three weeks ago we were 10 clear of Arsenal and it’s just funny how a week in football can seem like it lasts forever, especially when you are on the back of two defeats and fighting for a draw against Arsenal.

“The season is obviously not how it was looking three weeks ago, especially when you have got to travel to City and travel to Anfield. And, as well, as that there are no easy games in the league.

“We know what’s at stake. It’s nice we have got some good news that we are going to be moving into our new stadium. I hope that can give us all a boost.”
