Tottenham star named as six most valuable player in the world

CIES Football Observatory has crunched the numbers and released their projection of the most valuable players across the top five leagues in Europe.

According to the study (as relayed by Football.London), Tottenham striker Harry Kane is the six most valuable player in the world valued at £127.7million.

PSG striker Kylian Mbappe is named as the most valuable player in the list and said to be worth £225.1m, while three other Premier League stars in Raheem Sterling (£189.9m), Mohammed Salah ( £148.6m) and Sadio Mane (£132.1m) are all said to be more valuable than Kane as well.

In fact, the Spurs striker is just the third most valuable English player as Jadon Sancho is also said to be worth more at £143.3m. Kane is followed by another England striker in Marcus Rashford who is valued at £114m while Lionel Messi is just the eight most valuable player in the world at £106.5m.

One obvious thing to consider is the fact that a player’s age has a huge bearing on their value. So it is not uprising that the value of Sancho is so inflated while Messi’s is so low. However, it shows that despite having multiple spells out with injury for the past year and a half, Kane is still valued among the best in the world.
