Tottenham star picks up injury on international duty

Dele Alli has withdrawn from the England squad after suffering a minor muscle strain in Saturday’s defeat to Spain.

The Tottenham midfielder played the full 90 minutes in the 2-1 loss, but has had to return to Spurs for treatment.

It is unclear whether he will be fit for the game against Liverpool, but the injury isn’t thought to be serious.

No further additions have been called up to replace the injured midfielder, but Leicester duo Ben Chilwell and Demarai Gray were added to the squad today.

Tottenham will be hoping to get Alli back and firing before their Champions League campaign kicks off against Barcelona.

Spurs were drawn in a group with Barcelona, Inter Milan and PSV.

While Poch doesn’t have many like-for-like replacements for Alli, the likes of Son, Lamela and Winks are all available for selection once again.

How big a miss would Dele Alli be for Spurs? Have your say!
