Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg wasted no time in taking to Instagram following Tottenham Hotspur’s 4-0 win against Aston Villa.
It was a bruising encounter at Villa Park, especially during the first half which saw Matt Doherty forced off minutes after being on the receiving end of a heavy challenge from Matty Cash and was replaced by Sergio Reguilon.
Hojbjerg was also in the thick of the action and required treatment himself from the club’s medical team in the 31st minute when he was left on the ground after Ollie Watkins had crossed from the left, the Dane managed to get a vital touch to the ball before Danny Ings clattered him.
After the match, the midfielder took a photo of his legs with ice packs strapped to both knees, while a graze was clear to see on his right shin.
Hojbjerg summed up the encounter with the caption ‘4 goals, 3 points, 2 ice bags and 1 team.’
It was a big three points from Antonio Conte’s side in the race for fourth place after rivals Arsenal suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Brighton earlier in the day.

Credit has to go to Hojbjerg for his performances in recent weeks which has certainly softened the blow of not being able to utilise the services of Oliver Skipp due to injury since late January.
