Tottenham star ready to run down his contract

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele is set to run down his current contract at the club according to a report by The Sun.

The Belgian only has one year remaining on his deal which runs out in the summer.

Dembele is allowed to start talking to foreign clubs come January, ahead of the expected move in the summer transfer window.

Spurs are willing to listen to offers in January, but a mid-season move is extremely unlikely.

Chinese club Beijing Sinobo Guoan are said to be interested in signing the marauding midfielder, setting him up with a £150,000 a week tax-free contract, not to mention a sizeable signing on bonus.

Dembele will not be holding talks to extend his stay in North London.

This will be a major loss for the Lilywhites, as Dembele has been a real driving force in their midfield since Pochettino arrived at the club.

Tottenham will be hoping the likes of Harry Winks can pick up the mantle for the foreseeable future.
