Tottenham star receives Ballon Dor nomination

What a year it has been for Harry Kane, and what better way to cap it all off than receiving a Ballon Dor nomination, the highest footballing award.

Harry has achieved so much this year, on and off the pitch.

An impressive end to the season with Tottenham saw the striker eclipse his Premier League scoring record, netting 30 goals in one season.

He finished as runner up in the golden boot race behind Liverpool’s Mo Salah.

Harry was also announced as Gareth Southgate’s England captain, an honour you would think Harry will wear for many many years to come.

Kane wore the armband with pride as he led England to their best World Cup finish in 28 years, making it to the semi finals against Croatia.

Not only this but Kane finished the tournament with six goals, two more than his nearest rivals, earning him the prestigious World Cup golden boot.

Kane will also lead Tottenham into their brand new 62,000 seat stadium this season, and is currently second favourite to receive the 2018 Sports Personality of the Year award.

Harry and fiancé Kate also welcomed their second child into the world this year.

What a year for one of our own.
