Vicario made eight saves, all from inside the box, as AS Monaco’s relentless pressure was nullified by the 29-year-old.
His commanding performance between the sticks has now been recognised by UEFA, who have named him in their Champions League team of the week, with Vicario the only Spurs player to make the cut.
