Tottenham Hotspur are pushing hard to make their mark in this season’s UEFA Champions League, and one player’s heroic display has now earned him a spot among Europe’s best performers from matchday three.
Tottenham Hotspur managed to secure a lucky 0-0 draw in their recent outing against AS Monaco in matchday three of the Champions League.
Spurs are currently outside the automatic qualification spots, with a single point separating them from eighth, but they could still move into that zone should they win their home games and draw their remaining away fixtures.
FC Kobenhavn at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is up next for Thomas Frank’s men, and the Dane will be hoping his side can grab their second Champions League win of the campaign when the Danish side comes visiting.

Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario named in UEFA Champions League Team of the Week
Guglielmo Vicario was the hero against AS Monaco, with the Italian ensuring that Tottenham walked away with a point thanks to his heroic display.
Vicario made eight saves, all from inside the box, as AS Monaco’s relentless pressure was nullified by the 29-year-old.
His commanding performance between the sticks has now been recognised by UEFA, who have named him in their Champions League team of the week, with Vicario the only Spurs player to make the cut.
Spurs focus shifts to Everton as Vicario earns plaudits
