Tottenham star sends message to club target Giovani Lo Celso

Tottenham Hotspur have a strong Argentinian contingent at the moment, from stars such as Erik Lamela, Juan Foyth, and Paulo Gazzaniga to the manager himself, Mauricio Pochettino.

Only 21-year-old Foyth was called up to the senior squad to take part in the Copa America for Argentina this summer, with the international side currently in the semi-finals.

This also means that Foyth has joined up with Tottenham target, Giovani Lo Celso, a player Spurs reportedly bid £53m for earlier in the transfer window.

The BBC reported that the bid was turned down as it was not close enough to the star’s £88m buyout clause.

Reports surrounding a potential deal have gone relatively quiet in recent weeks, with Lo Celso still in Brazil for the Copa America.

However, it seems as if the playmaker already has some friends in North London, with Erik Lamela commenting on one of his latest Instagram posts.

Lo Celso captioned the image: ‘One more step! Come on Argentina!’ to which Lamela simply replied ‘Let’s go!’

A couple of the replies to Lamela’s comment are as follows:

‘Bring him in, Coco!’

‘Next season they have to play together!’
