Tottenham star talks about race for top four

Tottenham have put their miserable run behind them, after losing three straight games last month.

The Lilywhites lost successive games against Watford, Liverpool and Inter Milan, despite leading two of those matches 1-0 late in the day.

Spurs were coming under a lot of pressure after becoming the first side not to buy a single player in the summer transfer window, but those issues seem to be a thing of the past.

The World Cup stars have built there fitness back up after a brief holiday, and star man Harry Kane is firing on all cylinders again, sitting near the top of the golden boot table.

Spurs have now won four domestic games on the bounce, and have taken 18 points from their first eight games, equalling a club record in the Premier League.

Tottenham now sit only a couple of points off top in joint fourth heading into the international break.

Harry Kane believes Spurs have come through their bad form and will aim to fly under the radar for as long as possible.

The Mirror report he said: “Obviously we went through that spell where everyone thought it was the end of the world. We’ve come out of the other side and we’ve done alright.

“We are not far off the top. Liverpool and City play on Sunday and it’s like most seasons — we just stay calm and stay under the radar. Everyone talks about everyone else and we’ll just see if we can go on a good run between now and Christmas and we’ll see where that puts us.”
