Tottenham star to get first international start in almost a year

Tottenham Hotspur have been famed for producing young English talent for the England squad for a number of years now, with the likes of Harry Kane, Eric Dier, Dele Alli, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier, Harry Winks, Andros Townsend, Ryan Mason, Jake Livermore and many more starting their England careers at Spurs.

Last week, 22-year-old Harry Winks received his first England call up since returning from injury at the start of this season.

Winks hasn’t started an England game since almost a year ago when he won the man of the match award on his debut.

SkySports have reported through Twitter that Winks is set to start the game tonight against Spain, a national side he was actually eligible to play for.

Winks has been hugely impressive through his time at Tottenham, and in recent weeks in particular, as he could be just the driving force both club and country need in their midfield.
