Tottenham starlet sends big message to Thomas Frank by scoring five in Europe

Tottenham’s Under-19s produced a sensational performance to brush aside Slavia Prague, with one highly-rated Spurs teenager stealing the show.

Thomas Frank’s men registered a comfortable 3-0 win over Slavia Prague to keep themselves well in contention for a top-eight finish.

However, Spurs’ young guns managed an even more comprehensive win than their seniors, demolishing the Czech side 9-1 at Hotspur Way in the UEFA Youth League.

A 17-year-old Tottenham prodigy, who made his senior debut back in September, stole the show for the home side.

Tottenham youngster Luca Williams-Barnett scores five against Slavia Prague

Luca Williams-Barnett, who is considered the next rising star in the Tottenham academy, proved impossible to stop for Slavia.

The attacking midfielder completed his hat-trick just beyond the hour mark before netting twice more in quick succession in the latter stages.

Williams-Barnett made history by becoming the first Spurs player to score five in a single game in the UEFA Youth League, with the pick of his goals being a 77th-minute free-kick which sailed into the top corner.

Big things expected of Williams-Barnett at Spurs

Williams-Barnett signed his first professional contract at Spurs back in October, and there is plenty of excitement about the youngster at Hotspur Way.

In fact, according to reports, some at Tottenham liken the academy midfielder to Paul Gascoigne and Glenn Hoddle, given his creativity and quality on the ball.

If the youngster keeps developing at the pace that he is, it may not be too long before he becomes a fixture in the first team.
