A new report in Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness) backs up Barcelona’s interest in the Frenchman, revealing that the Catalan club could turn to the teenager after Atlético Madrid refused to sell Julián Alvarez.
However, the outlet makes it clear that the La Liga giants will face a major battle for Kroupi’s signature, with the forward not short of transfer interest.
The report claims that three other clubs ‘are in the bidding’ for the 19-year-old, namely Spurs, Arsenal, and PSG.
If this update is to be believed, that means that the Lilywhites will have to go up against three domestic league champions in the race for the Bournemouth man.
Barca expected to face complications in Kroupi pursuit
Sport say that the Cherries value the France U21 international at €100m (£85.5m) and the asking price is not the only ‘obstacle’ for Barca in doing the deal.
Cherries managing director Tiago Pinto has allegedly made it clear Kroupi is not for sale. Bournemouth are in a strong position to keep him since the player has no release clause.
