For a long time, Tottenham Hotspur struggled to secure a suitable backup to Harry Kane, with several strikers failing to have the expected impact at the club.
One of the more high-profile flops was Vincent Janssen, who arrived at Spurs with a big reputation during the summer of 2015 on the back of winning the Eredivisie Golden Boot with AZ Alkmaar.
However, the Dutchman struggled during his spell at White Hart Lane, scoring just six goals across 42 appearances for the club.

Janssen has had a bit of a journeyman career over the last few years, having played for Fenerbahce, Antwerp, and Mexican club Monterrey, before sealing a move to Portland Timbers back in July.
The centre-forward did not find the back of the net in his first three games for the MLS side, but showcased his eye for goal in his first MLS start for his new club, netting a hat-trick.
With his three goals, Janssen became the first player to ever net a hat-trick for the Timbers in the MLS.
Portland Timbers emerged 5-4 winners over Minnesota United over the weekend, with the former Tottenham man proving the hero for the home side.

Will Lankshear continues to make Spurs regret sale
Meanwhile, a player Spurs sold in the summer, Will Lankshear, has been tearing up the Championship since his move to Middlesbrough.
Lankshear scored the match-winner in Boro’s 1-0 win over QPR, making it seven goals in seven games for his new club across all competitions.
If the Lilywhites continue to struggle to find the back of the net, many may look at the decision to sell the 21-year-old centre-forward as a major blunder.
