Tottenham Hotspur have a number of key stars with contracts running into their final years this season.
Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen both only have a year left on their current deals, with both Belgian defenders having a clause in their contracts to extend for an additional year.
Mousa Dembele’s contract also runs out next summer which will allow the marauding midfielder to go on a free. You would think a whole host of clubs will fight it out for his signature.
Finally, Christian Eriksen’s current contract runs out in 2020, meaning that next season he will be entering his final year.
COPE and Mundo Deportivo have both reported this week that Eriksen is a target for Spanish giants Real Madrid, as they would like the Great Dane to make the same trip as Luka Modric and Gareth Bale before him.
However, Sportwitness claim Tottenham have tabled a new offer which is labelled as ‘as important’ as Harry Kane’s latest deal.
Eriksen has yet to accept the terms.
