Tottenham Hotspur will likely be active in the market come the new year as the January window opens.
Spurs became the first ever Premier League club not to sign a single player in the summer transfer window this year.
However, Tottenham have already been linked to a variety of players with regards to a January move.
One player who is a big target for Spurs, according to Calciomercato, is Ajax midfielder Donny Van der Beek.
The news outlet claim that although Barca and Chelsea are interested, Spurs lead the way for the £35m man.
The 21-year-old is a rock in the centre of the park, but also has a fantastic array of short and long passing, as well as a powerful shot.
The young midfielder has been compared to the likes of Man United legend Paul Scholes.
Tottenham could be in need of such a player as Mousa Dembele is likely to leave in the summer, leaving a hole in the midfield.
