Tottenham Hotspur have been handed some good news amidst their rumoured attempts to bring their academy graduate back to the club in January.
The speculation regarding Tottenham’s January targets has already begun, even though we are still more than three months away from the window reopening.
While some big names have been linked with a move to N17, one transfer rumour has left Spurs fans scratching their heads.
It has been widely reported that Tottenham are seriously considering bringing Sunderland defender Dennis Cirkin back to the club as they look to bolster their options at left-back.

Dennis Crikin set to leave Sunderland in January amid Tottenham links
The left-back has fallen down the pecking order at the Stadium of Lights, and reports over recent weeks have indicated that Cirkin would be tempted to leave Sunderland in January if his situation does not change.
Dr Rajpal Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, has now suggested that the player’s fitness is also a matter of major concern for the Black Cats, backing them to offload the 23-year-old.
When asked about Cirkin’s injury situation, Brar remarked to Mackem News: “All signs seem to be pointing towards yes, they want to move him on. Final year of contract, hasn’t been available consistently, and already multiple players in for cover.”
Cirkin will allow Tottenham to help solve one major issue
Over the last few weeks, several outlets have said that Tottenham’s transfer strategy is expected to change after the exit of Daniel Levy, with the Lilywhites eyeing ‘elite’ signings who can take the team to the next level.
That is why Spurs fans might be perplexed to be linked with Cirkin, who does not possess the kind of star quality required to elevate the side.
However, journalist Graeme Bailey recently explained that Tottenham want Cirkin to help resolve their shortage of homegrown and club-trained players, which prevented the club from naming a full quota of players in their Champions League squad.
