Tottenham target destroys Man City

If any Tottenham fans needed cheering up last night, which, let’s face it, they probably did, the Manchester City game would have provided this in abundance.

The Premier League title holders took on Lyon at home in the Champions League, with the Citizens pre-tournament favourites to lift the trophy.

However, no one told Lyon this, as they stormed to an impressive 2-1 victory, putting heavy dents in City’s chance to top the group.

One player who stood out for Lyon was midfielder Tanguy N’Dombele, a player who Spurs reportedly bid for during their signingless summer transfer window.

N’Dombele ran the show in the centre of the park, with his quick feet, physical presence and pin-point passing tearing Man City to shreds.

Spurs had apparently bid 45 million Euros for the midfielder in the summer, a bid that was turned down.

Tottenham saw N’Dombele as a replacement for Mousa Dembele funnily enough, and it looks as if the 21-year-old could be the real deal.

Should Tottenham go back in for him in January? How much should they pay for the young talent?
