Tottenham target son of World Cup winner

Tottenham Hotspur are said to have joined the race for Marcus Thuram, the son of former World Cup winner Lilian (The Sun).

The young striker has scored 10 goals in 17 games already this season for his Ligue 1 side Guingamp.

Arsenal and Manchester United are also said to be watching the 21-year-old closely. The three Prem clubs all apparently sent scouts to watch the young man on Saturday.

Thuram was the scorer of the dramatic winning goal against PSG last week, as Guingamp knocked the French champions out of the French League Cup.

Spurs may be tempted to make a January bid, with Harry Kane, Lucas Moura, and Heung Min Son all potentially out of action.

Fernando Llorente is currently the only fit and ready Tottenham first team striker at the club, leaving little in the way of depth.

Perhaps a gamble on an in-form striker with World Cup winning blood in his veins wouldn’t be the worst shout in the world.
