Team News: Full-back and striker miss Tottenham’s match against Palace

Ange Postecoglou has provided a team news update ahead of tomorrow’s match against Crystal Palace during this afternoon’s press conference at Hotspur Way.

After a disappointing defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Spurs are once again in Premier League action at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and looking to return to winning ways to keep themselves in touching distance of the top four.

Having had a break last weekend due to Chelsea’s involvement in the Carabao Cup, Tottenham need to secure all three points ahead of next weekend’s fixture at Aston Villa which could prove to be crucial in the race for Champions League qualification.

Postecoglou was without the services of both of his first-choice full-backs in the 2-1 loss to Wolves with Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro having both missed the match due to injury.

Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of the clash against Oliver Glasner’s side.

While Udogie has recovered in time to be considered for selection, the news about Porro isn’t as good with the Spaniard still not ready to return, while Udogie will be assessed.

Richarlison has picked up a knee injury and is set to be missing for the next two or three weeks and joins Ryan Sessegnon and Manor Solomon on the sidelines.

Postecoglou told the official site: “Going through from the last game, Richy picked up a bit of a knee injury so he’s going to missing for two or three weeks.

“He’s had a great middle part of the season for us and been a big contributor but that’s kind of how his season has gone and we’ll just have to compensate for him not being there.”

He added: “Destiny is a chance for tomorrow and has trained, we will see how he pulls up. Pedro is probably another week away.”
