Team News: Ange Postecoglou provides positive news for Tottenham fans

Ange Postecoglou has provided a team news update ahead of tomorrow’s match against West Ham United during this afternoon’s press conference at Hotspur Way.

Tottenham have a quick turnaround following their 2-1 win against Luton Town on Saturday which saw them leave it late to secure the victory courtesy of Heung-min Son’s 86th-minute deflected effort at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It turned out to be a crucial three points with fellow Champions League rivals Aston Villa also having won their match at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers to keep them in fourth, three points ahead of Tottenham, having played a game more.

Postecoglou and his players now face a London derby in what is always West Ham United‘s most eagerly anticipated match of the season when they host their bitter rivals.

Micky van de Ven made a welcome return to the bench after being forced off in the early stages of the win at Villa and missed the loss at Fulham prior to the international break.

The Dutchman was an unused substitute against the Hatters with Postecoglou deciding to keep Radu Dragusin alongside Cristian Romero at the heart of the Tottenham defence.

Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs first-team squad ahead of the clash against David Moyes’ side. Fraser Forster and Manor Solomon both remained sidelined through injury.

Fortunately, Postecoglou revealed to the press today that Tottenham have no additional problems following the 2-1 win over Luton Town.

Postecoglou said (Alasdair Gold): “No different to the last game. Everyone got through unscathed.”
