Tottenham teenager yet to play for first team earns first international call up

Young Tottenham defender Maksim Paskotsi has been called up to the Estonia squad for the first time for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Spurs completed the signing of Paskotsi from Estonian side FC Flora Tallinn last summer, with the teenager penning a three-year deal with the North Londoners.

The central defender has had an impressive debut campaign for Tottenham’s Under-18s this season and has shown plenty of potential.

Apart from his defensive prowess, the 18-year-old has also been a big threat from set-pieces this season, netting five goals.

The youngster has made some Spurs fans sit up and take notice of his performances and has now been rewarded with a call up to the Estonian senior side for their matches against the Czech Republic, Belarus and Sweden.

Paskotsi, who has represented the country at both Under-16 and Under-17 level, will be hoping to win his first cap for Estonia over the next two weeks.
