Spurs reportedly keen on attacking midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur were famously inactive in the summer transfer window, but Pochettino may be willing to dip into the market for a couple of new players come January.

Spurs have the likes of Mousa Dembele, Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Michel Vorm, and Fernando Llorente all in the final six months of their current contracts.

Christian Eriksen is also down to the final 18 months of his current deal.

Spurs may need to start thinking about replacing some of these big names if they are unable to tie them down to new deals.

If Tottenham wait until the players are sold, opposing clubs will know how desperate they are for replacements, and the prices will go up.

The Daily Mirror report that Spurs have joined a host of other Premier League clubs in chasing Red Bull Salzburg attacking midfielder Hannes Wolf.

The forward is admired by Spurs, Everton, Southampton, and Arsenal.

He has scored four goals and set up nine so far this season, and has been compared to Tottenham’s Eriksen.

His contract is also up in 18 months, so Salzburg may be looking to offload him for big money while they still can.
