Tottenham to run competition for fans to be at the first stadium test event in December

Tottenham Hotspur have been without a home stadium for over a year and a half now, with Wembley serving as a temporary ground.

The club played out their season at the national stadium last year in the hope that their new ground would be ready in time for the new campaign.

The opening date was then set to September 15 against Liverpool, but issues with the fire safety system have extended it far beyond this.

Two and a half months later, and Spurs are still playing their home matches at Wembley, but there could be some good news for fans.

The Sun report that Tottenham are lining up a special test event at the state-of-the-art new stadium for a selection of lucky fans.

Spurs will hold a ballot between all season ticket holders, with around 5,000 to be gifted the chance at attend a test event on Sunday December 16.

I’m sure all season ticker holders will be crossing their fingers and hoping for a golden ticket.
