Tottenham top of the table… the injury table – A run down of Spurs’ first team injuries and their expected return dates

Tottenham are top of the table… the injury table that is.

According to the website PhysioRoom, Spurs have the most current injuries out of any Premier League team, with 8 to their name, including a number of first team stars.

We take you through each injury and the player’s expected return date.

Dele Alli-

Dele picked up a reoccurring hamstring problem in the win against Watford at his old stomping ground Stadium MK. Early reports say he may be out for up to a month, meaning that he will miss the crucial game against Barcelona on Wednesday.

Jan Vertonghen-

Jan limped off during the win against Huddersfield this weekend, but continued playing until half time. SkySports report Pochettino claimed that they will need to assess the big man before Wednesday, but for now his is a doubt for the Barca game.

Mousa Dembele-

The same as his Belgian compatriot Vertonghen, Dembele was taken off at half time this weekend and is due to be assessed ahead of Wednesday. Another doubt for the Champions League.

Christian Eriksen-

The Great Dane picked up an abdominal injury last week and hasn’t been seen since. He is a slight doubt for the Barcelona game, but don’t be surprised to see him involved.

Hugo Lloris-

As reported by Football London, Pochettino mentioned last week that Lloris may be back in time to face Barcelona, but with Gazzaniga in the form of his life, Lloris will surely make the bench at best.

Serge Aurier-

After putting in some decent defensive performances, Aurier picked up a thigh injury and currently has no known return date.

Michel Vorm-

The deputising Dutch keeper picked up a knee injury while filling in for the injured Lloris, and Physio Room expect him back on the 6th of October.

Vincent Janssen-

Yet to appear this season. Janssen has a serious foot injury and no known return date.
