Tottenham tracking teenage shot stopper

Marca claim that Tottenham Hotspur are showing considerable interest in a young goal keeper, Alejandro Iturbe.

The only thing is, the Atletico Madrid shot stopper is only 14-years-old!

Spurs are said to be in constant communication with the teenager’s representatives. Iturbe has been compared to a young Jan Oblak, which is very high praise indeed.

This transfer news comes only a few days after Manchester City beat Spurs to the signing of another 16-year-old Irish keeper from Shamrock Rovers.

It appears that Spurs are attempting to strengthen their lower age group academy goal keeping selection, for one reason or another.

Don’t expect this lad to be challenging for Hugo Lloris, Michel Vorm, or Paulo Gazzaniga’s place any time soon, but who knows, if signed, he could be one for the future.

What are your opinions on making cheap, young signings like this? No risk, high reward?

Alejandro Iturbe, remember the name.
