Tottenham’s attempts to strengthen their forward line have been made harder by developments that have occurred across the road in the red corner of North London.

Spurs desperately need reinforcements
With under two weeks left until the transfer window slams shut, Tottenham have once again left their business until late, much to the detriment of the side.
The Lilywhites are still in need of reinforcements in several areas across the pitch, not least in attack, especially given the news that Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson have now been added to the injury list.
Spurs reportedly tried until the very end to convince Randal Kolo Muani to come to N17, but they ultimately failed, with the forward joining Juventus on loan instead.

Tottenham’s search for a striker has now become more complicated
The Daily Mail have now claimed that Spurs‘ efforts to add to their attack have now become more ‘complicated’ because of what is happening at Arsenal.
It is revealed that the Gunners are now in the market for forwards after the recent injuries sustained by Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus.
The outlet explains that while Mikel Arteta’s men were initially not looking to sign a striker, they are now actively looking for one.
This has caused ‘difficulties’ for Spurs, who are now competing with their North London rivals for some of the forwards on the market.

Tottenham only have themselves to blame
While one understands that doing deals in January can be complicated, Spurs have once again left themselves in a precarious situation by leaving most of the business until the final stages of the window.
If they had done more business early, they would not need to worry about competition from Arsenal or others who are now turning their gaze towards the club’s transfer targets.
