We are heading into the final stages of the January transfer window and Tottenham still haven’t recruited enough to significantly improve Thomas Frank’s squad. Let’s take a look at our weekly Tottenham transfer roundup, including Adam Wharton, Oscar Bobb, and Radu Dragusin.
The signing of Conor Gallagher is a positive step in the right direction, but Spurs clearly need two or three other new players to really get back on track.
Amid Tottenham’s ongoing injury issues, it’s safe to say Thomas Frank has been left a little short at the moment.
We’re still waiting for Souza to be added to the list of Tottenham’s confirmed deals this month, but while we wait for that, let’s see what other names are being linked with a move to N17.

Tottenham’s midfield plan involves Adam Wharton
Spurs are stepping up their pursuit of Adam Wharton. Amid ongoing chaos at Crystal Palace with the departure of Marc Guehi and the imminent exit of Oliver Glasner in the summer, the Lilywhites could land another blow.
Palace do not want to let Wharton go, but the Eagles have accepted that he will move on eventually, and it’s thought they would allow him to move on if the right offer comes in.
Other names suggested for the midfield revamp at Spurs are Hayden Hackney, who could cost £30m. It’s said Tottenham are one of the leading suitors looking at the Middlesbrough man.
Spurs could move for Oscar Bobb
It feels like Tottenham have been linked with a lot of Man City players this month. Now, it’s thought Spurs are eyeing up Oscar Bobb, too.
He’s one of seven wingers Spurs are keen on as they look to flesh out the wide area. Apparently, Bobb is falling down the pecking order at City after the arrival of Antoine Semenyo, and could leave before the end of the window.
Tottenham were prepared to spend big on Savinho, but Pep Guardiola doesn’t want to let the Brazilian go. Meanwhile, another winger who could be an option is Ajax star Mika Godts, who could cost £40m.
Premier League clubs chasing Kevin Schade
In terms of attacking reinforcements, Spurs are firmly in the race for Kevin Schade. Newcastle United and Aston Villa are also interested though, and he could cost up to £52m.
Obviously, Schade knows Thomas Frank very well having worked together at Brentford. Whether his former manager would still be at Spurs if and when Schade signs is another matter.
We know Tottenham want a big summer of signings, and Schade could be one of those targets if Brentford aren’t willing to let him go this month.
Tottenham transfer round-up: What we know about Radu Dragusin and Alejo Veliz exits
As for players looking to leave Spurs this month, we now know Radu Dragusin will not be joining Roma on loan. It’s believed injuries within the squad, namely to Ben Davies, have left Tottenham unwilling to let Dragusin leave.
Alejo Veliz’s imminent exit at Spurs is taking twists and turns this week. It looks likely the young Argentinian will join Brazilian side Bahia, but now there’s a chance Tottenham will get more money for Veliz than the initial £8.7m they expected.
One player Spurs do not want to lose is Micky van de Ven. However, with talk of him not wanting a new contract, van de Ven has been urged to join Man City instead of staying in North London.
Meanwhile, Spurs have been scouting Samu Aghehowa during the recent clash between Porto and Benfica. The prolific striker could cost £70m.
