Bryan Ruiz - Tottenham transfer target

Harry Redknapp travelled to Holland to cast his eye over striking target Bryan Ruiz.

The Spurs boss was in attendance for FC Twente’s UEFA Champions League qualifier against Benfica on Tuesday night which has fuelled speculation over a bid.

Redknapp was sitting alongside Twente’s youth-team manager, Patrick Kluivert and reports suggest that the Costa Rica star has a £13.75million release clause in his contract.

Ruiz was on the scoresheet as he netted Twente’s second goal in the 2-2 draw.

  1. Why is it that all players outside the UK have a release clause? Signing Ruiz would be more of a threat to Lennon than say Defoe/Crouch. He looked pretty good though.

  2. This guy looks to class not just he’s scoring ability but his all round play not saying we should just buy him as we need a out an out striker am I dreaming if I say Higuain? Also I have said it before ruiz is a steal at 13.5m pay it before someone eles does.
