The Tottenham team vs Elfsborg has been announced

Tottenham are aiming to secure a top-eight finish in the Europa League and require just a point from the match to bypass the February playoff round.

Ange Postecoglou’s men have managed just two clean sheets in their last 11 games across all competitions and come up against a Swedish side, sitting in 20th place and recently lost their top player to Championship strugglers Plymouth Argyle.

Brandon Austin will retain his place in goal with Antonin Kinsky remaining ineligible, and despite Guglielmo Vicario returning to Tottenham training on Wednesday, the Italian is not ready to play a competitive fixture.

Djed Spence and Sergio Reguilon are unavailable, while Cristian Romero and James Maddison are both still sidelined.

Ange Postecoglou admitted Cristian Romero is not ready to play and will also miss the weekend’s game against Brentford as they continue to be mindful of his return.
