Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping tabs on Wolves midfielder Mateus Mane, although any potential move could depend on whether Spurs manage to retain their Premier League status.
Tottenham Hotspur cannot begin planning for next season as their Premier League status remains very uncertain.
With one point separating them from 18th place, relegation remains a very real prospect and one that could affect how they operate in the transfer market.
Should Tottenham drop to the Championship, there will be financial repercussions, while Premier League survival could allow them to strengthen their squad.

Tottenham eye Wolves midfielder Mateus Mane transfer
According to Sports Boom, Tottenham Hotspur are said to be plotting a swoop for relegation-bound Wolves midfielder Mateus Mane.
But Spurs themselves will have to avoid relegation if they are to secure the services of Mane, who has found some form under Rob Edwards.
Tottenham will not have free rein on the Wolves star, though, with Spurs reported to be one of seven clubs in the race for Mane ahead of the summer transfer window.
Spurs face competition for Mane transfer as Wolves expect departure
Sports Boom’s report claims that while Mane is valued at £30 million, Wolves are holding out for £50 million, a price tag said to fit within Tottenham’s budget.
With competition for the teenager high, Spurs are understood to be looking to offer the Wolves man the prospect of first-team football, in contrast to rivals Liverpool and Manchester United, who are expected to offer intermittent action.
Keeping the youngster at Molineux is likely to prove difficult, and head coach Rob Edwards is understood to have conceded this could be his final campaign in the Black Country as several big clubs begin to circle.
